Bong Bong Street - Water Main Renewal

Replacement of the existing Water Main on Bong Bong Street in Bowral. The works are scheduled to take place from mid-July with an expected completion by early September 2026.

Mittagong Playhouse Refurbishment

The Mittagong Memorial Hall as we know it today is a testament to community re-adaptation of facilities over time, as it is the amalgamation of three unique buildings into one. It has formerly served the community as a School of Arts, Mittagong Council Chambers and a community hall.

Wombeyan Caves Road

Find information about the Wombeyan Cave Road and the schedule of works to repair damage caused by natural disasters and to maintain the road.

Bowral Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade

An upgrade to the Bowral Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is required and an initial review of Environmental Factors will be undertaken. Although the STP is operating well and the quality of the effluent discharged to the Wingecarribee River within its Environment Protection Licence, the plant is now operating at near its design capacity.

Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade

Moss Vale STP Upgrade to 20,000 Equivalent Population to service growth projections up to the year 2046 and to meet NSW EPA and WaterNSW requirements.

Bong Bong Common Intersection Upgrade

As part of the Bong Bong Common Stage 1 and 2 Works is the construction upgrade to access arrangements and widening of the intersection associated with the classified road (MR260) at Moss Vale Road and Cecil Hoskins Access Road Burradoo.

Planned Sewer Main Upgrades and Renewals Programme

Find information about the Planned Sewer Main Upgrades and Renewals Programme including essential Sewer Maintenance (CCTV surveys) being carried out between 12 January and 13 February (weather-dependent) by the Wingecarribee Shire Council Water Team.

Bridge Replacement over the Nattai River, Ferguson Crescent Mittagong

Replacement of the heritage listed Nattai Creek Bridge located on Ferguson Crescent in Mittagong. This 125 year old bridge exceeds the usual useful life of a bridge of this kind.

Moss Vale Bypass

We're working on the design for Moss Vale Bypass. Wingecarribee Shire Council has received $14.3 million from the NSW Government to conduct preliminary investigations and designs for the Moss Vale Bypass.

Welby Landfill Remediation

The project works involve the stockpile removal from the Welby landfill, as well as the design and construction of capping regrading, batter and stormwater drainage to the Landfill.

Old Hume Highway, Alpine - Shoulder Widening

Wingecarribee Shire Council will commence shoulder widening works on Old Hume Highway, Alpine, from February 2026, as part of its 2025/26 Annual Capital Works Program.

Bessemer Street, Mittagong - Road Reconstruction

We undertook the rehabilitation of Regent Street (from Bowral Road to Regent Lane) and 42 Regent Lane. The project included resurfacing, essential stormwater and drainage improvements, and kerb and guttering. Work began in October and was completed in December 2025.

Meryla Road Slip Repair

Essential road stabilisation and recovery works will commence at three separate sites along Meryla Road to repair storm-related damage, as part of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) program.

Bowral Street

Works are scheduled in April, Bowral Street (section between Sheffield St and Property 117 for road renewal.

Exeter - Road Safety Improvements

Safety upgrades at the Exeter intersection of Badgerys Way, Bundanoon Road, Middle Road and Exeter Road. The project will address several issues including poor drainage, damaged road surfaces, missing kerb and gutter, and flooding during heavy rain.

Footpath Construction - Park Rd, Purcell St and Derby St, Bowral

A new concrete footpath will be constructed to connect Bowral High School to East Bowral along Park Rd, Purcell St and Derby St, through to Old South Rd.
