During the 2019-2020 bush fires, the need for more stored water was highlighted in a number of areas. A number of sites have been identified as requiring more stored water.
Council is progressing with the construction for sites at Wingello, Balmoral and Penrose. The tanks will generally be adjacent to the current RFS building at each site and will have a bore for water top up purposes to compliment the Rural Fire Services water supply plans.
