Important Update: From Monday, 25 May 2026, development application invoices lodged through the NSW Planning Portal must be paid within three (3) days of the invoice being issued to support faster lodgement timeframes in line with NSW Government expectations. 

Please note that where a DA is lodged and invoiced concurrently with a Section 68 Application and/or a Section 138 Application (referred to on the Planning Portal as an RA), those applications will also be returned if payment is not received within the required timeframe for the DA.

One of Council’s functions is to regulate development within the Shire in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 and other associated policies and directions from the New South Wales Government. Council needs to ensure developments find the right balance between protecting the environment, supporting a healthy local economy and providing effective access to community services and infrastructure.
