Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme 

The 2024/25 Community Assistance Grants are currently open.

The Community Assistance Scheme aims to build capacity, encourage participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships and working together to maintain our community and its assets. 

Council will invest over $100,000 in 2024 towards community development initiatives including arts and culture and sport and recreational projects. A further $10,000 from the Environment Levy has been invested towards future sustainability and natural environment projects. 


There are three types of funding available under the Community Assistance Scheme. These are:  

  • Donations of $600   
  • Grants up to $7,000   
  • Environment & Sustainability Grants up to $2,000   

Please ensure that you read the guidelines to ensure that you are eligible and that you meet the grant criteria.

The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme follows Council’s adoption of its Grants, Donations and Sponsorships Policy on 16 November 2022. This policy provides a framework on how Council proposes to manage future grants, donations and sponsorships for the benefit of communities across our Shire.

Previous years' grant recipients 

Wingecarribee ClubGRANTS 2024  

ClubGRANTS Category 1 are now open. 

The aim of these grants are to provide funding for specific community welfare and social services, community development, health services and employment assistance activities and other projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people in the Wingecarribee Shire. 

The local priorities for this funding are: 

  • Older people 

  • Children 

  • Young people 

  • Socially disadvantaged people

Grant Funding Finder 

Wingecarribee Shire Council has subscribed to Grant Funding Finder through a licensing agreement with Regional Development Australia Southern Inland. 

Grant Funding Finder is a customised portal for unlimited users and is a database of all grants available in our designated geographic area. 

Heritage Grants 

The Wingecarribee Heritage Assistance Grants are offered annually by Council for works to heritage listed buildings, draft or proposed heritage items and period buildings within heritage conservation areas. Funding rounds are generally called in the second quarter of the calendar year.
