Your site plan must show the location and number of public toilets and disabled facilities being provided for your event. The number of toilets you will need to provide will depend on anticipated crowd numbers, patron gender (women require more facilities than men), whether there is service of alcohol and the event duration. Accessible facilities must be available.
Toilet facilities must be well lit for security services areas and provided with soap and hand drying equipment and must be cleaned and restocked regularly. Toilets must also be located away from food storage and food services areas and be suitable for wet weather conditions.

The National Public Toilet Map shows the location of public and private public facilities across Australia.
Events must provide for the health and comfort of patrons. Under the Building Code of Australia, organisers must supply at least one drinking fountain or tap per 150 patrons (or part thereof). Drinking water must be freely available and clearly signposted.
Water access may be needed for portable toilets or a drinking supply, but availability varies by location. Check current water restrictions via Council’s website: Water Restrictions
Council supports sustainable practices and waste reduction. Water points in parks and gardens must not be used for counterweighting structures—use concrete weights instead. Any water brought on-site for this purpose must be removed and disposed of appropriately after the event.
