Breaking Barriers to Local Sport

Everyone deserves the chance to play local sport. In 2025 we worked with local clubs to start modified sports for people with a disability or mobility limits. The project, Breaking Barriers, was funded through the Play Well grants by the Australian Sports Commission.

Inclusive Sports Clubs

Bundanoon Rebels All Abilities Soccer (children and youth)

Bundanoon Walking Soccer (over 55's, adults with mobility limits)

Southern Highlands Netball Association Walking Netball (all ages and abilities)

  • Summer programs open in 2026.
  • Call out for volunteers for modified programs.

Moss Vale Basketball Association Assist All Hoops

  • A friendly program designed for young people with intellectual impairments
  • Thursdays, 4-5pm (8 week program)

Bowral Little Athletics (children and youth)

  • Friday afternoons during October to February
  • Eridge Park, Bowral
  • Inclusive come and try planned for 2026
