LidStop Bin Program Trial

Cockatoo opening Bins

To help keep our streets cleaner and ensure your bins stay secure, we're offering a 12-month trial offering free LidStop gravity locks for households with issues caused by birds, wind, or general bin disruption.

Why It Matters

This initiative isn’t just about individual convenience, it’s about community well-being:

  • Cleaner Streets: Stops scattered rubbish caused by open lids or bin upsets.

  • Safer Waste Management: Eliminates dangerous DIY fixes like bricks or heavy objects, which can damage bins and pose hazards.

  • Environmentally Responsible: Reduces litter, contaminated runoff, and pest attraction.

What is a LidStop?

LidStop is a smart, tool-free “set and forget” gravity lock designed for standard Australian wheelie bins (up to 240 L). It clips easily onto your bin handle and automatically applies gentle resistance to keep the lid shut no need to remove it on collection day

Key Benefits:

  • Keeps lids closed against birds, possums, and strong gusts

  • Prevents rainwater from entering the bin, reducing runoff and soggy messes

  • Helps contain rubbish in windy or overturned bins

  • Controls odours and keeps flies/insects out

  • Reduces wear and tear on bin hinges and minimises noise from flapping lid.

  • Made from UV-protected, durable materials that require no drilling or permanent modification.
