Berrima Road Deviation Preliminary designs for the Berrima Road Deviation Project were placed on public exhibition in 2017 and construction commenced in January 2018. The aim of the project is to divert Berrima Road from the existing level crossing near the Boral Cement Works to a bridge over the train line further east.
Bong Bong Common Stage 1 and 2 Works Bong Bong Common is the site of a convict period settlement that dates from 1821 to c.1843 which consisted predominantly of government buildings where soldiers and public servants would have worked and lived. This is the first European settlement of the area. Announcement : Stage 1 Carpark, adjacent to Moss Vale Road, has been completed and was re-opened on the 10th of November 2023. Bowral Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade An upgrade to the Bowral Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is required and an initial review of Environmental Factors will be undertaken. Although the STP is operating well and the quality of the effluent discharged to the Wingecarribee River within its Environment Protection Licence, the plant is now operating at near its design capacity. Announcement : Construction of the proposed upgrade works commenced in June 2023.
Bowral to Moss Vale 450mm Water Main - Duplication (Master Plan) The project involves detailed design and construction of a new water main between Kangaloon Road (Eridge Park Road) and Hill Road Reservoir.

Diamond Fields Rd Mittagong Bridge Replacement The existing Bridge structure on Diamond field’s Rd needs replacing in accordance with AS 5100 requirements for all GVM vehicles. Diamond field’s Road bridge is old timber bridge which is currently decommissioned due to its deteriorated condition, due to its condition it was recommended by consultants to close the bridge. Announcement : Council appreciates the community’s patience whilst we work with the Contractor to ensure this project is undertaken in accordance with required specifications. Council can advise that its Contractor – Bridge and Civil Pty Ltd will be returning to site in July 2023 to finalise the works having recently wrapped up another bridge project at Meryla.
Mittagong Creek Bridge, Merrigang St Bowral The existing bridge structure is to be replaced in accordance with AS 5100 requirements for all GVM vehicles (the existing bridge had a weight restriction in place). The new bridge is being designed and in consideration of surrounding environmental considerations. The design of the structure incorporates erosion and batter protection of embankments, both upstream and downstream.
Mittagong Memorial Hall (Mittagong Playhouse) The Mittagong Memorial Hall as we know it today is a testament to community re-adaptation of facilities over time, as it is the amalgamation of three unique buildings into one. It has formerly served the community as a School of Arts, Mittagong Council Chambers and a community hall.
Moss Vale Bypass We're working on the design for Moss Vale Bypass. Wingecarribee Shire Council has received $3.5 million from the NSW Government to conduct preliminary investigations and designs for the Moss Vale Bypass.
Moss Vale Senior Citizens Centre Retaining Wall Replacement The Moss Vale Senior Citizens Centre Retaining Wall Replacement project includes replacement of the existing timber retaining wall and fencing with a besser block style along the property boundary to create a small outdoor courtyard.
