In May 2019, Wingecarribee Shire Council adopted the Bong Bong Common Masterplan to guide the future provision, development and maintenance of the unique open space of Bong Bong Common in Burradoo. The open space and park facilities are now complete and open for public use.
In collaboration with Transport for NSW (TfNSW) and National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), construction is to commence on a dedicated left-hand turning lane for southbound traffic and right-hand turn lane for northbound traffic entering Bong Bong Common from Moss Vale Road at the intersection of Cecil Hoskins Access Track and are programmed to begin on 13 October 2025.
The improvements will provide improved traffic flow and safer access from the new additions to Bong Bong Common. Design for the intersection has been completed and approved by Transport for NSW (TfNSW). The Principal Construction Contractor is renowned TfNSW pre-qualified construction company - Fulton Hogan Pty Ltd.

For the safety of workers and motorists, work will be undertaken, both at night and day shifts, dependent of the work activity and in accordance with the Road Occupancy Licence (ROL).
Works will have minimal impact to travel lanes with traffic barrier installation to occur at night. This will ensure two-way traffic is maintained throughout the project and at peak travel times.
A 24-hour 40 km/h speed limit will be in place through the works zone for the duration of the works.
Council requests motorists' assistance in obeying traffic speed limits and driving to traffic conditions.
Works are expected to continue until April 2026 - weather dependent.
