The works include the replacement of the existing water main on Bong Bong Street in Bowral, NSW, with polyethylene PE100 PN16 DN250 pipe.
The new water main is to be installed via directional drilling adjacent to the existing main in the western parking lane. Water supply services are to be maintained for the duration of construction.
Background
The existing water main is in poor condition with recent and frequent failures. The scope of this project is to replace the existing main along Bong Bong Street between the Wingecarribee Street and Boolwey Street intersections.
Night works will commence Monday 27 July 2026.
Works will be undertaken during night shifts between the hours of 9.00 pm and 6.00 am and traffic changes will be in place.
The southern section of the Station Street carpark will be temporarily closed from Wednesday 8 July to Friday 11 September 2026, weather permitting. The area will be used as a construction laydown area for project materials and equipment.
Outside of these working hours, there may be a reduction in parking available in the northbound lane on Bong Bong Street.
