Navigating My Aged Care - Free Community Information Session

Next date: Wednesday, 05 June 2024 | 05:30 PM to 07:00 PM

My Aged Care is the main entry point to access government funded aged care services in Australia (ages 65+ or First Nations ages 50+). There are a wide range of services available to support older people to stay at home longer, including respite. However, many older people and their carers find the aged care system to be confusing and difficult to navigate.

Join Carers NSW and Macarthur Disability Services (MDS) to understand:

· The role of My Aged Care,

· The different types of services and supports available,

· How to arrange an assessment, and

· Who can help you if you need more support.

This workshop is free for community members.

Facilitated by Carers NSW: Carers NSW is the peak non-government organisation for carers in NSW. Our focus is on improving the lives of carers. We work with all carers regardless of their age, location, life-stage or circumstances. This includes those caring for individuals with support needs relating to ageing, disability, health and mental illness.

This workshop is funded by The Department of Health and Aged Care.
