As part of our ongoing commitment to improving transparency and open access to information that Council holds on development applications, we want to provide you with an update on what you can expect to see for Development Applications, Modifications and Reviews lodged from 29 February 2024 onwards.

More information related to the application in addition to what Council currently publish on the Application Tracker, including:

  • Internal floor plans;
  • Public submissions;
  • Requests for Additional Information;
  • Additional documentation provided over the application lifecycle;
  • Final referral advice from internal and external parties; and
  • Specialist Consultant advice where relevant

We will do our best to ensure that all formal documents related to your application are accessible, with sensitive information appropriately redacted for privacy.

Please note that while we strive to make as much information as possible available, some information is not made public to ensure privacy and the integrity of the application process.

The second phase of our Application Tracker improvements is due to launch late March with an updated look and feel to the Application Tracker – check out these videos for a sneak peak of what to expect.

Some of the new features that aim to improve your experience of the Application Tracker include being able to:

  • Make submissions online;
  • ‘Follow’ an application to receive alerts on the progress and status of an application;
  • Navigate the live map to see what developments are happening in your area; and
  • Search the tracker using a portal reference number, council reference number or address

We would have loved for these two parts of the project to go live at the same time, however we have faced challenges with the testing environment technology and integration with the NSW Planning Portal meaning our timelines have been pushed back.

We are addressing these challenges directly with the vendor and aim to implement the upgrades as soon as possible.

We are excited about these changes and how they will improve your online experience.
