Project Update: Bong Bong Common Intersection Upgrade

Construction is underway at the Bong Bong Common intersection on Moss Vale Road, Burradoo to provide dedicated turning lanes for northbound and southbound traffic.

These improvements will make it safer and easier to access Bong Bong Common, Cecil Hoskins Nature Reserve, and nearby private properties.

Bong Bong Common intersection upgrade north bound turning lane

The northbound turning lane is open with final asphalt pavement works, installation of traffic barriers, and batter works (shaping and stabilising roadside slopes) completed in January.

With this first stage complete, works are now underway on the southbound turning lane.

To keep everyone safe, construction is being undertaken across day and night shifts, depending on the work being carried out, with a reduced speed limit in place through the site.

Construction is expected to be completed by the end of April 2026, weather permitting.
