Community Christmas Card Collaboration Spreads Festive Cheer

Wingecarribee Shire Council has partnered with Bowral Public School and Meals on Wheels to spread kindness and Christmas cheer through a heartfelt community collaboration. 

Council staff worked alongside Bowral Public School teachers and Year 1 and 2 students to create around 150 individually hand-decorated Christmas cards.  

Each card was personally addressed and delivered to local Meals on Wheels volunteers and elderly residents, helping to brighten the Christmas season for people who may be isolated, live alone, or unable to attend local festivities. 

The initiative was designed to foster festive joy and strengthen intergenerational connections across the community.   

The cards represent a meaningful gesture of goodwill from the children of Bowral Public School, Wingecarribee Shire Council and Meals on Wheels.
