Wingecarribee goes “All In” for National Reconciliation Week
Published on 21 May 2026
Wingecarribee Shire Council is inviting the community to come together to celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2026. Taking place from 27 May to 3 June, the week will feature a range of creative, cultural, and family-friendly events across the Shire.
National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and how each of us can contribute to reconciliation in Australia.
This year’s theme, All In, calls on all Australians to take an active role in advancing reconciliation and strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Highlights across the week include:
‘All In’ Atrium Exhibition
Student artworks from local schools will be on display at Moss Vale Civic Centre from Wednesday 27 May to Wednesday 3 June 2026. Featuring individual and collaborative entries from Council’s National Reconciliation Week art competition, the exhibition explores what reconciliation means through the eyes of local young people.
Library Storytimes and Turtle Weaving
Families are invited to enjoy National Reconciliation Week-themed Storytimes at Moss Vale and Mittagong Libraries on Thursday 28 May, and Bowral Library on Friday 29 May.
Turtle Weaving drop-in craft activities will also be available at all library branches throughout the week. No bookings required.
Wingecarribee Reconciliation Day
Council is proudly partnering with Highlands Community Centres, with support from Creative Space, Highlands Youth Centres, NIAA and St Vincent de Paul Society, to host a free community cultural day on Wednesday 27 May.
