Invite to women to post a heart-felt message to Wingecarribee’s Atrium gallery to honour friendships

Wingecarribee Shire Council’s monthly Atrium Gallery exhibition is already underway, with the theme: Galentine's Gals: A Heartfelt Celebration of Friendship.

Inspired by Galentine’s Day and the local Charlotte Project sculpture in Berrima, this exhibition features a collaborative installation calling out to all our local gals, to contribute a reflection about their platonic friendships with other women.

Be it writing and sticking reflections, quotes or messages for a friend onto the gallery wall, it’s a nice way to express our appreciation for the support women give other women, through the bonds of these close female friendships.

You can pop by to Council’s Moss Vale Civic Centre at any time throughout February 2024. All you have to do is pick up a pen, and pink heart shaped post-it note from the front desk, write some words of friendship and post it on the wall! Easy!

Launch event invitation:

We’re also inviting our shires’ women to the launch event in the Civic Centre Atrium, on Tuesday 13 February , at 2pm on Galentine’s Day. Afternoon tea and chocolate hearts will be served.

Any and all women are encouraged to contribute and celebrate their friendships, by coming into the Civic Centre and penning a note themselves, or by sending a message to our Community Development Officer Arts Culture
