The Environment and Sustainability Branch coordinate projects, programs and events for the community to get involved in. This includes bushcare volunteering, citizen science, private land conservation, biodiversity and sustainability projects, and environmental events (e.g Earth Hour and School Environment Day). We also develop educational content for the community and schools.
Bushcare and Rivercare is all about restoring the resilience of natural areas on Council owned or managed land. Bushcare groups work in bushland reserves and Rivercare groups work in riparian areas near waterways. Find out more about the available opportunities.
