World Environment Day is an international day of environmental awareness and action. In 2025 the focus is on beating plastic pollution.
It is projected that by 2050 there could be more plastic in our oceans than fish by weight. The plastic problem is not just about keeping our oceans and towns tidy, this is a much deeper issue, that everyone plays a part in helping to resolve.
Transitioning to plastic alternatives is critical. This includes choosing plastic-free packaging at the supermarket as well as being mindful of the reuse, recycling and disposal of plastic waste.
