Household Chemical CleanOut Day

Important update: Due to high demand, at the November 2025 Household Chemical CleanOut event, Council has worked closely with our collection contractor, and EPA to improve the event opperations for 2026. Increased capacity, updated traffic arrangements and additional servicing lanes will be in place to reduce waiting time and improve vehicle flow.

The Household Chemical CleanOut event is held annually for Wingecarribee residents to drop off their unwanted household chemicals free of charge, including cleaners, garden chemicals, paints, and batteries. With bulk waste collection dates approaching, it's important to plan for how to dispose of problem waste or dangerous items that do not belong in bulky waste collection.

Wingecarribee's annual Household Chemical CleanOut event will be held on Sunday 17 May 2026 from 9:00 am until 3:30 pm at Council's Moss Vale Works Depot. Entry is now via Berrima Road and exit via Parkes Road only.

The safest way to dispose of potentially hazardous household chemicals is at a Household Chemical CleanOut event. These events are free services held across NSW on specified dates.
