Great Southern Bioblitz

Berrima River Reserve

Come along and take part in The Great Southern Bioblitz. The 'Great Southern BioBlitz' (GSB) is an international effort to survey and record all living species in designated Southern Hemisphere areas in the spring.

The GSB will be held at Riverbend Reserve in Berrima, this event will allow participants to discover a wide variety of plant and animal species.

Steve Douglas, local ecologist, will join us for this event bring with him an amazing knowledge of our local flora and fauna. 

We'll meet at the Berrima Campground and them walk to Berrima Riverbend Reserve to explore and record the variety of plants and animals in the area.

The event is free and open to all with an interest in nature, please register if you'd like to attend.

What will you need on the day
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes suitable for walking in nature.
  • Don't forget to bring sunscreen, water, and any other necessities for spending time outdoors.
  • Bring your own morning tea to enjoy during the event.
