If you
love big band music, who can play it better than the Southern Highlands Big Band? This relatively new band on the local music scene is comprised of some top local musicians from around the Highlands.
Led by Richard Gawned on Tenor Sax, the band consists of current and ex-professional big band players and local music teachers, doctors and pilots.
Enjoy Peter Scott's uber-cool trombone solos, Julian Paviour's silky trumpet sounds, Anthony Clarke's impossibly tight drumming, and more as the band takes you through a journey of swinging big band numbers from the Count Basie / Benny Goodman era to some more funky and contemporary arrangements.
