Colo Vale Railway Park Playground Upgrade Nearing Completion

With the play equipment installed, softfall laid and the learn-to-ride track poured, Council is excited to announce that the playground upgrade at Colo Vale Railway Park is almost complete!

This milestone follows months of collaboration and planning with residents, children and community members. During community consultation in November 2024, locals had the chance to vote on two concept designs for the upgraded play space at Railway Avenue. With strong community support, Council engaged Moduplay to deliver the preferred Option B design.

Paying homage to the heritage precinct and neighbouring railway line, Option B includes a learn-to-ride track, flying fox, swings, slides and a range of exciting new play features.

The upgraded park will deliver wide-ranging benefits, including:

  • Encouraging physical activity to boost health and wellbeing.

  • Providing a welcoming place for families to connect and strengthen community ties.

  • Creating a modern, well-designed play space that complements the character of Colo Vale.

  • Offering a vibrant social hub for children and young people to enjoy interactive play.

Located within walking distance of the Colo Vale Community Centre and the Colo Vale Heritage Train Station, the playground is set to become a central destination for locals and visitors.
