Wingecarribee Shire Council is inviting residents to join in the spirit of National Volunteer Week at the Wingecarribee Volunteering Expo, taking place on Tuesday 20 May 2025, from 1pm to 3pm at Bowral Memorial Hall.

This free community event celebrates the incredible contribution of volunteers and shines a spotlight on the vital role they play across the Shire. Held during National Volunteer Week (19–25 May 2025), the Expo will connect residents of all ages with local not-for-profit organisations and Council services looking for volunteers.

Whether you're a student, retiree, or simply looking to give back, the Expo is a great opportunity to discover how you can make a difference. Attendees can chat with local groups creating real, positive change and find a volunteering opportunity that fits their interests and availability.

Local volunteer groups are also encouraged to host a stall to showcase their work and attract new members. To express interest in hosting a stall, please contact Amy Murray at Council on (02) 4868 0888 or email mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au.

“Volunteers are the heart and soul of our Shire,” said Wingecarribee Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick. “Their dedication enriches the lives of so many, and this expo is a great chance to learn how rewarding it can be to give back to your community.”

No registration is required to attend.
