Young People Attending School Holidays Cooking Workshop

Looking for ways to keep the kids entertained these school holidays? Wingecarribee Shire Council is keeping boredom at bay and is excited to support a wide range of free and low-cost activities for children and young people across the Shire these July school holidays. 

Highlights include a NAIDOC week family fun day, a dumpling bar–themed cooking class, an interactive forensic science workshop, and relaxed hangout spaces filled with games, snacks and good company. 

School Holiday Activity Program 

  • NAIDOC Week Celebrations – Monday 7 July, from 10.30am, including Family Fun Day (from 12.20pm) at the Civic Centre, Moss Vale. Suitable for all ages. Bookings essential. 
  • NAIDOC Afternoon Craft – Wednesday 9 July, 3pm-3.30pm, Bowral Library. For children aged 5–12 years. Bookings essential.  

  • CSI Forensic Workshop – Wednesday 16 July, 10.30am at East Bowral Community Centre. Suitable for ages 12+ years.  Bookings essential.  

  • Winter Hangout Zone – Friday 11 July at Renwick Community Centre. Bookings essential.  

  • 9am to 12pm, ages 9-12 years welcome 

  • 1pm-4pm, ages 13 to 16 welcome 

  • Pizza and Kahoots – Friday 18 July at Moss Vale Theatrette. Bookings essential. 

  • 10am to 12pm, ages 9 to 12 welcome 

  • 1pm-3pm, ages 13 to 16 welcome 

  • Free Indoor Soccer Clinics – Wednesday 9 and 16 July, 9am to 12pm (morning session) and 1pm to 4pm (afternoon session), at Gillick Sports Complex, Mittagong. Delivered in partnership with Highlands Soccer Association. Bookings essential.
