Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on people with disability, carers, advocates, community members, service providers and local organisations to help shape the next Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).

Every four years, Councils in NSW are required under the NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 to develop a new DIAP.

The new DIAP will outline actions for Council to undertake from July 2026 to June 2030 to create a more inclusive community where people with disability can fully participate in everyday life.

The plan supports the Community Strategic Plan vision for Wingecarribee to be the most liveable place in NSW by 2035, where all generations can thrive. It sets a clear direction towards a future where everyone is supported to belong, contribute and flourish.

Council is currently in the early engagement phase and seeking feedback through an initial online survey, open from Monday 21 July to Friday 29 August 2025. Feedback gathered during this phase will help shape the development of the draft Plan.
