Health and safety of our customers is our top priority therefore we have made a few changes around our facilities to ensure the community members are safe. Please read the following changes and come prepared when visiting the facility.
Stay home if you are unwell
If you are unwell please do not visit the facility. Anybody displaying cold/flu like symptoms will not be granted entry.
Recording your visit
Scan the QR code so that your visit can be recorded. Once you arrive at the entry window to pay for your visit please show the green tick on your mobile device. If you do not have a mobile device, please provide the relevant details to pool staff and they will record the visit for you. If you do not provide your contact details, you will be refused entry into the facility.
Cashless payment preferred
We will still be accepting cash as payment though we would prefer you to use a credit or debit card.
Maximum Capacity Areas
We have displayed signage across the facility illustrating the maximum capacity of each space within our facility, please ensure you abide by this. Council will close their facilities at any time to ensure social distancing can be maintained.
Sanitise Station
We have a sanitise station set up upon entry, please sanitise when visiting.
Bubblers Not Operational
Bubblers are not to be used however drink bottles may be filled from the bottle fill station however the top of your drink bottle must not touch the dispenser.
Limit Shower Use
Showers are still operational and available to use though we ask that you please limit your time in the changerooms by coming to the facility ready to swim and shower at home.
Social Distancing
Please keep 1.5m away from staff and other patrons at all times
No Grouping in Lanes - Please do not group at the end of lanes as this breaches the social distancing guidelines. Please exit the pool when you are not swimming.
Thunderstorm Evacuation
The presence of lightning around an outdoor swimming pool is a safety risk and as such, Lifeguards will evacuate pools when lightning is within 10km of the aquatic venue. Normally you would evacuate the pool to a covered area onsite which provides sufficient electrical earthing in the event of a lightning strike. However, due to the minimal space available undercover at each of the facilities if a thunderstorm is within 10km of the pool the centre will be completely evacuated as there is insufficient space for customers to maintain social distancing in accordance with NSW Government COVID-19 restrictions. No refunds will be granted so please check the weather prior to visiting your local outdoor swimming pool.
No Loaning of Pool Equipment
Please bring your own pool equipment to the facility, if you forget to bring your equipment such as googles we are unable to lend these to you for your swim.
COVID Safe Marshal
During peak times at our facilities there will be a dedicated Safety Marshal onsite to ensure social distancing is maintained between patrons visiting the facility and that all touch points are regularly cleaned.
Kiosk
We may restrict what is sold at the kiosk to ensure social distancing requirements can be met during busier times. This may mean hot food operation will cease.
Confirmed COVID case at one of the swimming centres
In the event of a confirmed case within the facility Council will be guided by the Department of Health on the next steps.
