Great Barrier Reef Challenge Course Yrs 3-9

The Great Barrier Reef Challenge Course is designed for students in years 3-9, it can also be adapted for older learners and international contexts.

In this Challenge Course students will:

• Explore why the Great Barrier Reef is recognised for its outstanding universal value as a World Heritage site
• Identify the five major threats: climate change, water quality, marine debris, Crown-of-Thorns Starfish, and fishing practices      
• Apply design thinking to create solutions that help protect the Reef
