Wingecarribee Shire Council Announces New Pre-Booked Bulky Waste Collection Service
Wingecarribee Shire Council is pleased to announce the launch of a new pre-booked bulky waste collection service for residents who receive a domestic waste service in the Shire, commencing on 1 July 2024. This service replaces the previous scheduled kerbside bulky waste collection.
The transition to a pre-booked system offers several advantages for residents:
- Increased Convenience: Residents can now schedule their bulky waste collection providing greater flexibility and control.
- Double the Collections: The new system allows residents to book up to two bulky waste collections per financial year, doubling the previous entitlement.
- Improved Efficiency: Pre-booking allows WSC to optimise collection routes, leading to a more efficient service.
To ensure the continued availability of this valuable service, bulky waste collection will be included as a requirement in future waste management contracts.
Residents who currently receive a domestic waste service are eligible to use the bulky waste collection service.
The Shire will be divided into six collection zones, offering residents eight booking opportunities throughout the 48-week service period (July 2024 – June 2025).
For detailed information on the new bulky waste collection service, residents can visit the Council's Bulky Waste Collection Service Page on the WSC website Bulky Waste Kerbside Collection Service.
The web page provides information on:
- Acceptable items for collection
- Proper presentation guidelines for bulky waste

Residents can book their bulky waste collection from 17 June 2024, onwards by calling the JR Richards hotline number on 1300 133 969.
Wingecarribee Shire Council is committed to providing efficient and convenient waste management services for residents. The new pre-booked bulky waste collection service offers greater flexibility, increased capacity, and a long-term solution for responsible bulky waste disposal in the Wingecarribee Shire.
