Council Cemeteries

Overview

Wingecarribee Council maintain and care for cemeteries across the Shire.

Council provides eight cemeteries across the shire that are fully operational and provide a range of bereavement services for the Wingecarribee community.

Wingecarribee cemeteries are located in a variety of locations form natural bushland to open farmland and all offer tranquil settings to commemorate and celebrate the life of your loved ones.

Cemeteries are also an important source of local history and are of great heritage significance to present and future generations. A number of other cemeteries are considered historic or closed cemeteries.

Council Managed Public Cemeteries

Wingecarribee Shire Council manages the following public cemeteries. 

Balmoral (Historic Cemetery)

Berrima General Cemetery

Location: 583 Berrima Road, Berrima

 

Bowral General Cemetery

Location: 109 Kangaloon Road, Bowral

 

Bundanoon General Cemetery

Location: Ferndale Road, Bundanoon

 

Burradoo Wesleyan/Methodist (closed, ash placements only)

Location: Burradoo Road, Burradoo 

 

Burrawang Cemetery

Location: Church Street, Burrawang 

 

East Kangaloon Cemetery

Location: Kangaloon Road, East Kangaloon 

 

Glenquarry Cemetery (closed, ash placements only)

Location: Tourist Road, Glenquarry

 

Moss Vale General Cemetery

Location: 75 Berrima Road, Moss Vale

 

Myra Vale Cemetery (existing rights only/ash placements)

Location: Myra Vale Road, Myra Vale

 

Penrose General Cemetery

Robertson General Cemetery

Rowe’s Hill Anglican Cemetery (existing rights only/ash placements)

Information Sheet

The Cemeteries Information Sheet outlines the terms of management for all Wingecarribee Shire Council public cemeteries, as well as fees and charges.

This information is for:

  • People who intend to or have purchased a right of burial or interment of ashes
  • Funeral directors and other professional people involved with the use of the cemetery 

The Information Sheet also ensures that the conduct of cemetery visitors is in accordance with reasonable and practical standards.
