We're excited to be the first Council in the state to implement a digital planning assistant to support our residents with planning and preparing residential DAs.
Meet DAISY (Development Application Information System) Council's new generative AI (artificial intellegence) driven chatbot who will pop-up on our website when you view any of the Plan and Build webpages. DAISY is designed to help you understand and prepare for residential development applications (DAs).
Our new digital planning assistant, DAISY, is a type of generative AI. This means it can create new content, like text, in response to your questions. However, because DAISY is still learning, it might not always have the perfect answer right away.
Think of it like a new student. They have a lot of information, but they get better and more accurate with experience. Similarly, DAISY will learn and improve over time as more people interact with it. The more you use DAISY, the smarter and more helpful it will become!
DAISY is available 24/7 and provides general guidance on planning requirements—saving you time, reducing confusion, and helping you feel more confident as you begin the application process.
When you log in to DAISY, you can:
- Save your progress and return later
- Receive more tailored guidance
- Access a checklist of required documents
- Upload and validate your documents
DAISY stores your information securely and complies with Australian privacy laws.
We’re continuing to improve DAISY based on community feedback. If you’d like to let us know what’s working—or what isn’t—you can submit feedback via the form within the DAISY interface.
If you’re having trouble accessing the tool, contact:

Look for the DAISY pop-up on the right-hand side of the page, enter in your address information and begin your planning journey.

We received grant funding for DAISY digital planning assistance as part of the Early Adopter Grant Program through the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. This allowed us to create this product through a collaboration led by ADAPTOVATE, partnering with GADALI and built on the Enterprise AI platform.
