Ordinary Meetings of Council are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month commencing at 3.30 pm.
Meetings are open to the public. Members of the public are able to address Council during the Public Forum and are able to ask Council questions during Questions From the Public.

Due to ANZAC Day on Wednesday 25 April, the next Ordinary Meeting of Council will be held Tuesday 24 April.
As such, Public Forum request applications will close 3:30pm Monday 23 April 2018.
Members of the public are able to address Council via Public Forum participation.
To participate, submit a Public Forum Request Form. The form must be received by the General Manager’s office by the close of business on the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
Presentations by members of the public are to be restricted to a maximum of two (2) per meeting and be limited to five (5) minutes duration and may only address Council on items listed on the agenda for the meeting with the exception of tenders, legal matters and visitor items.
Members of the public are able to ask Council questions on any issue at Ordinary Meetings of Council.
Questions must be submitted by 3.30pm on the Monday proceeding the meeting using the Questions From the Public Form. The duration is limited to three (3) minutes with the number of questions permitted by each speaker is no more than three (3).
Clause 10.9 of the Code of Meeting Practice states:
10.9 Questions from the Public
10.9.1 Questions from the Public will be held at Ordinary Meetings of Council at 5.30pm, or immediately prior to the close of the meeting (whichever comes first).
10.9.2 Questions from the Public are to be written on the prescribed form and submitted to the General Manager’s office by 3:30pm on the Monday immediately before the next applicable meeting.
10.9.3 The maximum number of questions permitted by each person is three (3) per meeting.
10.9.4 Questions will be read aloud by the General Manager or his/her delegate. If an answer is available at the meeting, it will be presented. Otherwise, the question is to be answered as soon as possible in a personal communication to the person asking the question.
10.9.5 Questions that are considered to be in breach of the provisions of cl. 4.2.1 of this Code, or which by being read may breach Council’s adopted Code of Conduct, will not be accepted or read.
cl 4.2.1 (d) states an act of disorder includes an action by a councillor, or by implication the content of a Question from the Public which:
“(d) insults or makes personal reflections on or imputes improper motives to any other Councillor”
Therefore replies will not be provided to any questions which are considered to be in breach of cl 4.2.1(d).
Further, cl 10.9.4 of the Code of Meeting Practice states:
“Questions will be read aloud by the General Manager or his/her delegate. If an answer is available at the meeting, it will be presented. Otherwise, the question is to be answered as soon as possible in a personal communication to the person asking the question.”
