Many young people feel anxious about climate change (as do many adults), knowing it will shape their future. This worry can feel overwhelming, but with the right support, education, and opportunities to take positive action, we can help turn concern into hope and motivation for change.
Here in our community, we’re working alongside young people to build resilience, awareness, and a sense of empowerment. During Youth Week (April), we host activities and workshops designed to spark conversation, share practical solutions, and build confidence in facing environmental challenges together. Our Wingecarribee Youth Council also plays a key role, giving young people a voice in local decision-making and supporting projects that make a real difference in our region.
We also bring Earth Flix film screenings into schools, showcasing inspiring, environmentally themed stories. These films spark discussions, build understanding, and help young people see themselves as part of the solution - growing resilience, advocacy, and hope for the future.
