Lackey Park Regional Sporting Hub Concept Masterplan

Council has been working with local groups to develop a masterplan which details a shared long-term vision to turn Lackey Park in Moss Vale into a dedicated multi-discipline sporting precinct.

The masterplan proposes to transform the current under-utilised field into a multi-purpose complex that will accommodate multiple rugby league fields, a junior and senior cricket pitch and ancillary training facilities. AND include the construction of a purpose-built grandstand, viewing mounds, formalised parking, gymnasium hall, clubhouse, change rooms, canteen, storage area, walking track, exercise stations and playground.

Public Memorials Policy and Guidelines

We recognise that members of the community may wish to use a public space to commemorate a loved one through the planting of a memorial tree, erection of monuments, memorials and plaques or the naming of public spaces.

A draft Public Memorials Policy and Guidelines have been developed to help us meet the needs of our growing and diverse community and is currently on exhibition with feedback sought.

Draft Playspace Strategy

In late 2017 and early 2018 over 380 residents shared their thoughts about preferences for playgrounds and more in a survey. This information was carefully considered and then all existing playspaces were assessed using the Playable Space Quality Assessment Tool. 

The information gathered has been used to prepare the now publicly exhibited Draft Playspace Strategy, with feedback sought by 19 July 2020.

Bowral Waste Centre - bushfire waste acceptance

Notice is hereby given that Wingecarribee Shire Council has received an application to modify (Section 4.55) a Development Application for the following development proposal. This development proposal is not
Designated or Integrated Development. 

Proposed Development: 
WASTE FACILITY Section 4.55 Modification to modify the Development Consent Condition 20 to temporarily permit
Bowral Waste Centre to receive bushfire wastes under EPA EX000765 Council Bushfire Exemption ARGN871 and that these exempted bushfire waste tonnages are not to be included as part of the consented annual waste tonnage thresholds of 50,000Tpa (non-putrescible) and 5000Tpa (asbestos) respectively.

Proposed Lease - Ace Internet Services Pty Ltd

Council has resolved to consider to grant a lease to Ace Internet Services Pty Limited for the continued occupation of Telecommunications Tower - being (no street number) Public Reserve, Oxleys Hill Road, Bowral being Lot 10 in Deposited Plan 701530 for a term of five (5) years.

In accordance with Sections 46 & 47 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council gives notice of its intention to issue a Lease over Telecommunications Tower - being (no street number) Public Reserve, Oxleys Hill Road, Bowral being Lot 10 in Deposited Plan 701530 for a term of five (5) years.

All interested persons are hereby invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager on the contact details noted, within twenty eight (28) days of the date of this notice.

Once the submission period has closed, Council will consider all duly made submissions before deciding whether to continue with the issue of the Lease.

Please note: that under the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, such submissions may be referred to third parties for consideration.

Declaration to Accompany Planning Submissions

From 1 October 2008 the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 requires the disclosure of political donations and gifts when making submissions in respect of planning matters. 

Include Form 1 with your submission, even if your answer on that form is 'no'. If your answer is 'yes', you will also need to complete and lodge Form 2 with your submission.
