Water Main Shut Down

Tues 26th May 2020

Crews are in attendance to repair a valve. Surrounding streets may also be affected including Old Bong Bong Way. Outage duration is from 9:00am to 11:30am.

Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant

Increased truck movements around the Treatment Plant and Kennedy Close, Moss Vale

Fri 8th May to Fri 22nd May 2020


Council will removing biosolids from Moss Vale Sewage Treatment Plant for beneficial reuse as part of routine operations from Friday 8 May to approximately Friday 22 May 2020. There will be increased truck movements in and out of the STP on Kennedy Close Moss Vale during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Kangaloon Road, Bowral

Planned Water Main Shut Down

Mon 11th May 2020

Council Contractors will be installing a 40mm water meter, which will require water to be turned off between 9.00am to 11.00am. Affected customers will be at 44 Kangaloon Road, Bowral and possibly surrounding areas.

Sewer Main Renewal


April to June 2020

In order to improve the quality of sewer service Carve Earthworks has been engaged by Wingecarribee Shire Council to renew the Sewer main in these areas.
During the proposed construction work, there may be some excavations along the line of the sewer main these will be covered and barricaded to prevent access being gained to the holes and prevent injury. All affected areas will be returned to original condition once the works have been completed. While the pipe line is being worked on you may be asked to minimise your water usage on certain days to help with the timely completion of these works.

Council is required to conduct a maintenance program at monthly intervals to ensure best operational practices and regulatory compliance. Although Council implements managerial protocols during this process, unfortunately the practice may still result in residents noticing odour release. These scheduled works are impacted by wet weather and operational demands.
