Pool Upgrade for Mittagong

A refreshing oasis of aquatic fun and the location of many a swimming lesson or race, it’s time to give our oldest pool a makeover!

The site of recreational swimming since around 1875, the Mittagong Baths officially opened in 1931 and was converted to an Olympic pool in 1959.

Given such a lengthy history, it’s not surprising that Wingecarribee Shire Council needs to undertake some extensive work to repair, maintain and modernise this aging facility to extend its useful life for the community.

We've already chatted with the Mittagong Swimming Club and Southern Highlands Water Polo Club about the works required to renovate the pools and are now inviting the community to take a look at the upgrade plans, learn about the scope of works and provide comment.

We've set up a special page at www.yoursaywingecarribee.com.au to host information, provide opprtunities for people to ask questions and view public responses, share their experiences or complete a feedback form.

Head to the website or take a look at the info kit and plan (below).
