Water & Sewer Network Renewals & UpgradesTo be completed April 2019

As part of an ongoing water and sewer assets improvement program and to ensure a high quality, fully maintained reliable system , Council is planning to upgrade and renew essential water mains, water meters, sewer mains and manholes.

Council has engaged the contractor Carve Earthworks and Construction Pty Ltd to undertake these works and their staff will be carrying identification cards at all times.

Trenchless techniques will be used wherever possible to reduce the construction impacts; however the renewal works will require some excavation. Customers and business will be notified in advance of any works in their area which may impact them.

Regrettably due to the nature of the program minimal interruptions may occur to customer’s water and sewerage services, therefore contractor on behalf of Council will contact impacted residents in advance. Inevitably some residents may also experience localised noise and traffic disruptions during construction.

Areas affected by the works will be reinstated as close as possible to their original condition, including any grassed areas, roads, footpaths and driveways. All reasonable steps will be taken to minimise damage and restore land as soon as practicable to its pre-construction condition.

The extensive program of works will be located within the areas of Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong, Welby, Colo Vale, Willow Vale and Burradoo and is planned to be completed by February 2019.
All necessary WHS procedures and traffic controls will be in place and managed accordingly in the affected areas.
