Planning Proposal - For Certain Land at Bowral Street Bowral, Bong Bong Road Mittagong and north west Moss Vale.

The following Planning Proposals have received Gateway Determinations from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment and are now being placed on public exhibition. 


The specific Proposals are:


To rezone land on the corner of Old South Road and Bowral Street, Bowral from R5 Large Lot Residential to R2 Low Density Residential and reduce the minimum lot size to 1000m2. (PP_2019_WINGE_002_00) (File reference 5901/65)


To rezone and reduce the minimum lot size of certain land in North West Moss Vale. (PP_2019_WINGE_003_00) (File reference 5901/66)


To rezone Part of 66 Bong Bong Road, Mittagong (Suttor Cottage) from R5 Large Lot Residential to R2 Low Density Residential with a minimum lot size of 800m2. (PP_2019_WINGE_004_00) (File reference 5901/56)


These Proposals are now exhibited in accordance with their Gateway requirements and submissions sought from the community.


EXHIBITION DATES: The Planning Proposals are on public exhibition for a period of 31 days from Wednesday 7 August to Friday 6 September 2019.


LEARN MORE: The Planning Proposals and associated documentation may be inspected at Council’s Customer Service Counter, Civic Centre, 68 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday during each week of the exhibition period. 


Exhibition material is also available to view using the links below, as well as at the Bowral, Moss Vale and Mittagong Libraries during advertised opening hours.

All submissions must be received by Council before 4.30pm on Friday 6 September 2019 and quote the relevant file reference provided above.


Wingecarribee Shire Council is authorised to exercise the functions of the Minister for Planning under s.3.36 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 as have been delegated to it with regard to these Planning Proposals.
