Use this form to determine the Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) of subject land for a proposed development pursuant to State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008.
Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) is a means of measuring the severity of a building’s potential exposure to ember attack, radiant heat and direct flame contact from a bushfire. The BAL is used to establish the requirements for construction (under the Australian Standard AS 3959-2009 Construction of Buildings in Bushfire Prone Areas), and may be required for your Development Application or Complying Development Certificate.
You will need to submit a dimensioned Site Plan that includes the location of the proposed development in relation to the allotment boundaries.
