Council is currently experiencing delays in assessing development related applications. Council has been managing a high volume of development-related applications with reduced staffing levels. Unfortunately, our processing times are currently outside our adopted service standards. As such, Council is unable to provide definitive timeframes for determinations to be completed at this stage.

We are working hard to assess all applications as quickly as possible.

We are constantly seeking to review and refine our business practices with a view to improving your experience in line with applicant feedback.

Email enquiries regarding your specific development application to mail@wsc.nsw.gov.au and include your Portal reference and Council reference.

 

Before you lodge your Development Application

For advice prior to lodging your application you can make an appointment with one of our Duty Planners. Find information and resources about all of our Planning Information Services here.

 

Ensure you provide necessary Documents and Plans

Prior to lodgement ensure you have provided all the necessary documents and details plans. See our Development Application Checklist Guides.

 

Use a single point of contact for your Development Application

Please limit contact with the assessment officer to a single representative, for example either the applicant or the owner.

 

Monitor your application via the Application Tracker or the NSW Planning Portal

The NSW Planning Portal is the source of all formal information relating to the development application and it's progress for the applicant.

All documents or new documents requesting during the application process must be provided via the NSW Planning Portal.

Track my DA

Updates regarding your application will continue to be provided via the NSW Planning Portal, including advice relating to fee payment and confirmation of lodgement once the application is accepted. 

You can also find updates relating to your application via our Application Tracker, which will provide details of key milestones and relevant documentation as your application progresses.
