Parks Strategy

The Parks Strategy was adopted by Council on 23 November 2016. 

This strategy aims to: 

  • Identify existing land resources
  • Identify the need for additional park land to meet future demographic changes
  • Set levels of service
  • Support requirements for developer contributions
  • Identify areas for special purpose recreational activities, for example, off leash dog parks

The Parks Strategy is not a statutory document, but will be used to advise other plans and strategies that Council develops, such as the Council’s Parks Asset Management Plan, Capital/Renewal Program and Plans of Management.
