Karin Targa

Karin Targa is the Director of Service and Project Delivery for Wingecarribee Shire Council.

Karin has over 20 years’ experience in local government in Victoria, Queensland and NSW as well as prior overseas experience in private practice. Karin’s most recent local government roles have been at Bayside Council, the former Rockdale City Council and Blue Mountains City Council.

In her previous Bayside Council roles as City Projects Director and Director of City Operations, Karin was responsible for the effective delivery of a capital program of $60 million per annum, stewardship of Council’s $910 million in assets, traffic and road safety, procurement and fleet, domestic waste collection and cleansing, parks, civil works and commercial businesses. Of note are Karin's skills and demonstrated experience in leading the effective delivery of complex community projects.

Karin holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Management and qualifications in project management.

At Wingecarribee Shire Council Karin is responsible for the following areas:

  • Assets
  • Shire presentation (including roads, infrastructure, and building and open spaces maintenance)
  • Project delivery
  • Water services
