Application to Speak on Proposal to Close Meeting to Public

Use this form to apply to make representations at a Council meeting, before any part of the meeting is closed to the public, as to whether that part of the meeting should be closed.

Where the matter has been identified in the agenda of the meeting as a matter that is likely to be considered when the meeting is closed to the public, in order to make representations members of the public must first make an application to Council.

The form must be received by Council no later than 4.30pm two business days prior to the meeting. This will generally be on the Monday in the week of the Council meeting.

No more than two (2) speakers are permitted to make representations on a proposal to close part of a meeting to the public, and each speaker is limited to one (1) minute.
