Community Resilience Small Grants Program

The Community Resilience Small Grants program offers financial assistance to not-for-profit community organisations and associations based in the Wingecarribee Local Government Area to deliver a range of resilience focused projects.

The grant program will support collaborative efforts between community groups and organisations to deliver local and innovative projects that support the aim of the grant.

The grants program will have a total value of $73,000 and will provide one-off grants of $500 - $10,000.

The Community Resilience Small Grants Program aims to support bushfire impacted communities:

  • With preparedness projects that are community led
  • Provide opportunity for community connection
  • Strengthen community resilience

Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme 

The 2023/24 Community Assistance Grants are now closed.

The Community Assistance Scheme aims to build capacity, encourage participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships and working together to maintain our community and its assets. 

Council has invested $120,000 in 2023 towards community development initiatives including arts and culture and sport and recreational projects. A further $10,000 from the Environment Levy has been invested towards future sustainability and natural environment projects.

The Wingecarribee Community Assistance Scheme follows Council’s adoption of its Grants, Donations and Sponsorships Policyon 16 November 2022. This policy provides a framework on how Council proposes to manage future grants, donations and sponsorships for the benefit of communities across our Shire.   

The Community Assistance Scheme aims to build capacity, encourage participation and support initiatives that promote partnerships and working together to maintain our community and its assets.

Wingecarribee ClubGRANTS 2023 

ClubGRANTS Category 1 are now closed.

The aim of these grants are to provide funding for specific community welfare and social services, community development, health services and employment assistance activities and other projects aimed at improving the living standards of low income and disadvantaged people in our Shire.

Applications closed Monday 17 July 2023 at 4 pm. There were a total of 12 successful applications with a total of $59,946 awarded.

The local priorities for this funding were:

  • Older people
  • Children
  • Young people
  • Socially disadvantaged people

Veolia Mulwaree Trust 2023 Grants and Donations Program

There are a number of grant funding opportunities in 2023, including funding for community projects and scholarships.

The second round of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust community project funding program closed on Thursday 1 June 2023. Veolia will run this program again in 2024, with information available at the end of this year.

Heritage Grants

The Wingecarribee Heritage Assistance Grants are offered annually by Council for works to heritage listed buildings, draft or proposed heritage items and period buildings within heritage conservation areas. Funding rounds are generally called in the second quarter of the calendar year.
