             12pm Official Opening

Open to all local community members of the Macarthur, Wingecarribee and South Western Sydney Area.

Open to all members of the Stolen Generations and their families.

Wingecarribee Shire Council will be providing a bus free of charge to transport to and from the event, pick up locations are Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong. Accessible transport is provided, please see the event flyer below to find out how to book your seat.

A picnic lunch will be provided for the Wingecarribee Community members following the official ceremony.

National Reconciliation Week 2019


Wingecarribee Reconciliation Group is please to be partnering with the social justice group within the Uniting Church Bowral. 

In celebration of National Reconciliation week, you are invited to a special screening of the 2006 film Ten Canoes. 

Ten Canoes is a ground-breaking glimpse into Aboriginal life centries before European settlement. 

Special guest speaker: Mr.Stan Grant, a Wiradjuri man and noted journalist, appearing via video presentation. 

Date: Monday 27 May at 6.00pm
Where: New Empire Cinema Bowral

Dhungung (Food) Share


The Dhungung (Food) Share is an initiative that provides Aboriginal people and their families access to quality excess food. 

OZHarvest food rescue organisation will be delivering food at the Wingecarribee Aboriginal Commmunity Cultural Centre every Thursday between 10.30am and 1.30pm. 

There are also services providing outreach at the centre on a weekly, fortnight and monthly basis these include:

*Centrelink * TAFE * Southern Highlands Homelessness * Ability Links 
*Highlands Community Centre's Aboriginal Family Worker * NDIS 
*Primary and Community Health
