Becoming a Councillor Survey

It is now less than 12 months out from the 2020 local government elections and we're hoping to encourage a diverse range of people to put their hand up to work with us.

To kick this project off we're doing some research... looking for information from the community to determine what interests them about the councillor role, the barriers they face and ways we can help potential candidates.

We love living in the Southern Highlands but what is it that makes the character of this place so special?

Residents of all ages are invited to explore and celebrate our people, places, landscapes and buildings. We’re looking for images and thoughts which reflect the attributes that contribute to the character of our Southern Highlands.

These will then be used to identify aspirations for the different towns and villages within the Shire and to develop local character statements which the community can consider and hopefully endorse for future planning purposes.

Renwick Community Survey

A Community Centre will be built at Renwick by UrbanGrowth NSW / Landcom in the near future.

Once built the Community Centre will become a Council owned facility and therefore require a management plan to ensure that its use and ongoing maintenance is administered correctly. We are seeking community involvement in the development of this plan and are currently inviting residents to complete a survey.
