Wingecarribee water restrictions were removed on 1 March 2020 as a result of record rainfalls.
Although water restrictions are currently not in place, if we all do our bit and save a little, together we'll make a big difference. Council's water-wise initiatives remain in place all year round regardless of water storage levels.
Water Wise Initiatives are simple, common sense actions that the community, including residents, businesses, schools, etc; can take to reduce water waste, when we are not under water restrictions.

Instead of hosing hard surfaces, use a broom to clean up leaves, grass clippings, dirt, dust or general litter.
Hand held hoses must have a trigger nozzle and watering should be avoided between 10am and 4pm.
Sprinklers and Irrigation Systems
Avoid watering in the heat of the day and only use sprinklers or irrigation systems before 10am and after 4pm.
Wash vehicles on the lawn wherever possible. This helps to water your lawn and avoids adding to stormwater pollution.
Recycled water, bore water and water used for testing fire systems, fire fighting and related activities are exempt from the Water Wise Initiatives.
