Unfortunately all Bushcare working bees are suspended indefinitely due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and operational challenges. We will notify all registered Bushcare volunteers when this suspension is lifted. Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.
The Wingecarribee Rivercare Group – Burradoo aims to restore and rehabilitate the natural riparian area along the Wingecarribee River at the Burradoo end of the Bong Bong Common. Invasive weeds such as Willows, Hawthorn and Small-leaf Privet effect the habitat values of the river, which has abundant bird life, platypus and rakali. The group weeds planted areas and remnant woodland areas.
Bushcare and Rivercare working bees occur on a fortnightly or monthly basis and you must be registered as a volunteer with Council if you would like to participate. If you are interested in volunteering please complete the online application form and Council will be in touch with you.
