Community Nursery propagates native plants for a variety of local Bushcare and Rivercare Projects. You will learn about native seed collection and storage, plant propagation and native plant identification.
Numbers are currently limited to 14 for these working bees due to COVID-19 restrictions, and you will need to register each month to secure your place. A second monthly working bee for propagation of plants for Land for Wildlife private properties is being considered. This will be a weekday, yet to be decided.
If you are interested in supporting this group, contact the Bushcare Team Leader. Bushcare and Rivercare working bees occur on a fortnightly or monthly basis and you must be registered as a volunteer with Council if you would like to participate. Sites will vary, and a Bushcare Team member will notify the group a few days before the working bee about the meeting point.
If you are interested in volunteering please complete the online application form and Council will be in touch with you.
