Wingecarribee Shire Council recognises the importance of working in partnership with the community to manage, reduce and avoid waste.
As such, Wingecarribee’s Waste Education Officer is available to provide education sessions and work with residents, community groups and schools. These sessions are engaging, informative and have the ability to motivate across a wide range of audiences.
A wide variety of presentations and workshops are available to promote recycling and ethical waste management practices and can be tailored to meet the needs of group.
Our Waste Education Officer is available to be a key speaker for presentations and workshops.
Join us at the Resource Recovery Centre, to learn more about waste and protect the environment. We offer public tours to increase education on what happens to your waste when it leaves the kerbside, what items can be recycled, and the processes involved in recycling.
The NSW government’s container deposit scheme, Return and Earn, commenced across NSW on 1 December 2017.
Waste education presentations are interactive, fun and flexible, and can be tailored to suit the needs of your group.
Wingecarribee Shire Council signed up to the Get Grubby Program in August 2018 for a 3 year period.
