Development Application (DA)

A Development Application, more commonly known as a DA is the process of seeking approval from Council to carry out a Development, such as building a new home, home extensions, commercial, retail and industrial developments.

A DA determination must be issued through Council, this application type cannot be issued by a Private Certifier. An application for a DA must be submitted via the NSW Planning Portal.

After you lodge your Development Application via the NSW Planning Portal, Council will assess your application and determine if approval is granted or refused. You can track the progress of your DA via the DA Tracker.

If your Development Application is approved, you will receive the Conditions of Consent.
